Note: Filter assembly is designed for use on the vacuum side of
the sample system. Pressure rating set at low value as safety
precaution. Never remove handle assembly while under pressure.

MicroPath(TM) Coalescing-Separator
Most coalescing-separators on the market today use multilayered or mechanically wound media - a design which causes particles to plug the outer layers - shortening the service life and change-out
intervals.
MicroPath(TM) - is a proprietary weave of inorganic microfibers of different diameters. MicroPath(TM) media is vacuum formed into individual elements, creating millions of complex, tortuous paths of
varying density. T"his design allows particles to be trapped through the entire cross section of the filter, lowering pressure drop and maximizing capacity.
MicroPath(TM) media is ideally suited for air to fluid separation and hydrocarbon or submicron particle removal. It offers a wide temperature range and compatibility with most fluids and contaminants.
MicroPleat(TM) Particle Media
The life of any media is a function of the amount of solid contaminant subjected to the filter matrix as the pores become blocked, the pressure drop increases and flow decreases. MicroPleat media offers
corrugated pleats which significantly increase surface area and are heated to prevent fiber shedding. MicroPleat has resin-impregnated media to provide high performance particle removal in applications
ranging from food processing to industrial filtration. It is manufactured from special grades of borosilicate glass, cellulose, and synthetically based fibers. MicroPleat media can be used in liquid and gas
applications.
The MicroPath 0.3 micron borosilicate glass fiber element, when magnified 228x, shows deep, tortuous paths and large air pockets which provide high performance contaminate removal and longer life.
Air flows from the inside to the outside of the element through progressively larger openings in the media. As contamination moves through the element, solid particles are trapped and liquids are formed
into large droplets. As the air exits the element, surface tension holds the liquids and allows them to drain to the bottom.
Sample Filters for Diesel Engine Analyzers
Diesel engine exhaust has a high concentration of solid particles, liquid droplets and a high dew point. It is imperative that it be heated to prevent condensation which would affect the reliability of the
testing. To prevent contamination, systems are designed with the filter close to the inlet of the sample system. The filter is heated to prevent condensation upon startup. During operation, the filter gets
exposed to high temperature exhaust gas. We provide stainless steel filter housings wiht silicone seals specifically for the hot conditions of diesel engine exhaust. To ensure that temperatures remain
constant, the body is wrapped in heating tape.
